There are numerous reasons to switch to the new L.E.D. light strings and bulbs NOW. L.E.D. = Light Emitting Diode

They are much improved these last two years with good track records on durability, color and design. Most have 3 diodes in them now rather than the one they originally tried to make do with. The new, three diode bulbs are
much brighter and longer lasting.
With UL recommending to change the old incandescent light strings and bulbs after three year’s use the long lasting L.E.D. light bulbs will save cost in replacements.
L.E.D. bulbs and strings are rated from 20,000 hours up to 150,000 hours vs the incandescent bulb’s life of approx. 3000 hours.
With utility costs soaring annually and becoming a major expense to all households, using L.E.D. lights are rated as 85-92% more energy efficient. That would reduce a $100.00 electrical bill per month down to approx. $10.00, a huge savings.
Using L.E.D. products will also greatly reduce energy use for the entire state, especially during rolling electrical shut-downs we have experienced.
It is said that IF every household in America replaced just one of their regular light bulbs with the new Florissant bulbs (and they are only a 50% energy savings) in their home that the U.S. would save 13 million barrels of oil per year.
Yes, L.E.D. bulbs and strings are more expensive but the energy savings alone will pay for the additional costs in a very short time, 2-3 years of holiday lighting (600 to 900 hours) That is not taking into consideration the savings of not having to replace the old product and paying for new every 4th year.
L.E.D products just makes sense for the cost, energy savings, environment and the reds, greens and blues are just simply brilliant up alongside the old bulbs.
To give you an idea of the additional cost to go L.E.D, we have figured a $700. normal job to cost approx. $113.00 more, for a one time cost. But remember, L.E.D bulbs vary a little in cost to color as purple and pure white are more expensive than red and warm white (antique white which most customers prefer).
As customer’s product becomes due for replacement, after 3 year’s use, we will recommend changing all to L.E.D. HOWEVER, IT IS YOUR CHOICE.
Naturally any of our present customers that are not yet due for product change can change to L.E.D. anytime they wish by just informing us. Many customers have already done so & we have had the product to make it happen in 2007.
